14 · 404 page shows "Base components" – recipe sets page.404 to a hard-coded entity ID

Project Mercury Demo (site template / recipe mercury_demo)
Component Recipe
Category Bug report
Priority Major
Status Reported upstream as #2

Problem/Motivation

recipe.yml sets system.site: page: 404: /page/4. Entity IDs depend on the import order: "Page not found" gets ID 5, ID 4 is the documentation page "Base components". Every missing page (including the intentionally unpublished privacy page) therefore shows "Base components".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Drupal CMS with Mercury Demo.
  2. Visit /does-not-exist → the "Base components" page is shown.

Proposed resolution

Use the stable alias instead: 404: /404 (the "Page not found" page has this alias).

Additional information

Also affects the link "Group component" (/page/10#group, see the typo issue).
